Developing industrial zones to create further motivation for sustainable socio-economic development

PTO- Phu Tho is an early establishment and development of an industrial park over the period of socialist construction in the North. To implement the direction of economic development of the Party and the State in the renovating period is promoting the industrialization and modernization of the country, since 1997, the Party and the provincial government have focused on directing to build industrial parks in order to attract domestic and foreign resources for industrial development in the province.
Beginning with Thuy Van industrial Park with the scale of 323 ha which was approved by the Prime Minister in 1997, up to now, Phu Tho province has 7 industrial zones which were approved by the Government with the total planning area of 2,160 ha. Some of the industrial zones have been put into operation, creating high economic value and jobs for many local laborers such as Thuy Van Industrial Park, Trung Ha Industrial 
Park and Phu Ha Industrial Park.
The industrial zones have attracted 125 valid investment projects, including 81 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of VND 12 trillion, 44 foreign investment projects with total registered capital of $ 445 million; in which 100 projects have put into production, 25 projects are investing to build.
A number of high-tech and large-scale production projects are typical i.e the factory producing electronic components of Namuga Phu Tho Technology Company Limited, the factory producing electronic components of JNTC Vina Co., Ltd, Precision mechanics of Cosmos I Technology Company Co., Ltd,  and Tile Factory of Tasa Ceramic Joint Stock Company…
In 2017, the total value of industrial production is estimated at over VND19,000 billion; sales revenue is estimated at VND21,000 billion; total export turnover is estimated at USD 750 million; total state budget is estimated at nearly VND900 billion.

In the coming time, to achieve the industrial - construction growth rate of 9.5% / year, the industrial and construction structure will reach 41.5% in 2020 which was planned by the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, the Provincial People's Committee will focus on the following key points:
Firstly, the priority point is attracting investment in the construction infrastructure of industrial zones up to 2020 in accordance with the approved planning, diverging investment with reasonable scale for each industrial park; connecting technical infrastructure between industrial parks and urban areas with the advantage of linking with Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, Ho Chi Minh road and national highway through the province.
Secondly, to continue research to promulgate preferential policies to support investment in industrial zones, suitable to the actual conditions and the provincial budget, positively reforming the administration, creating an investment environment, open business.
Thirdly, to create conditions for investment projects to be supplied with electricity, water and information systems; solving in time difficulties and problems of investors and enterprises; building a river port in Trung Ha Industrial Park in order to create favorable conditions for export, import and transportation of enterprise’s goods.
Fourthly, to focus on domestic and foreign investment promotion, attracting production and business projects, saving energy and having high value, capable of budget remittances and environmental friendliness. Up to 2020, the value of industrial production of enterprises in industrial zones will reach VND 40,000 billion, export turnover will reach over USD1.5 billion, budget revenues account for over 25-30% and create new jobs for over 20,000 workers.
Fifthly, to further consolidate and perfect the organizational structure of the Industrial Zones Management Boards.
Along with the development of industrial zones, Phu Tho province is committed to further promoting the reform of administrative procedures, building the government to create and serve more attractive for domestic and foreign enterprises; Phu Tho is becoming an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, making Phu Tho to be one of the leading provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains as the 18th Resolution of Provincial Party Committee.
