Chairman of the provincial People's Committee visits the model of high-tech agricultural production

PTO - On August 2nd, Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the model of high-tech agricultural production in Phu Tho town of Vietnam High Tech Agricultural Materials Seed Joint Stock Company.

High-tech agricultural development is the province's orientation to improve production value and sustainably develop agriculture. Under this orientation, the Company have connected to international agricultural organizations, agricultural experts from Netherlands, Japan and Taiwan to apply high technology in agricultural production. The company has invested, renovated and upgraded tissue culture lab, completing the breeding techniques for forest trees and renovated Nau Pho enterprise to a farm including swimming pools, parks and agricultural experience areas. In early 2019, the company invested in the net house under the modern Japanese technology to plant 2000m2 of cantaloupe and 4ha of pomelos to propagate including Da Xanh pomelo and Hoa Binh red pomelo, Dien pomelo and over 20 thousand roots of orchids for high economic value.

Chairman Bui Van Quang highly appreciated the Company's efforts in researching, selecting and producing high quality rice varieties to serve the market inside and outside the province. Chairman stressed: The company should continue to coordinate with farmers in cultivation of high quality hybrid rice varieties such as J02 and QR15; providing seed and planting techniques of some crops; promoting the application of techniques for planting orchids and forest trees of high economic value to meet the market's demands.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee assigned the Company to well prepare the conditions to preside over and host the Orchid Festival on the occasion of Hung King Temple Festival in 2020.
