The surrounding communes, wards and towns of Hung Kings Temple hold palanquin procession and offered the ancestor

PTO- The palanquin procession and ancestral offering ceremony of 7 communes, wards including Chu Hoa, Hung Lo, Kim Duc, Van Phu, Hy Cuong (Viet Tri city), Tien Kien, Hung Son (Lam Thao district) were taken place on April 23rd (lunar March 8th) in the Hung Kings Temple historical relic site.


The formation the palanquin procession consists of a leader, a lion dance team, a  team of drummers and gong players, a group of people who keep festival flags, a group of the young men who hold sedan chair which is considered for Hung Kings, a priest and assistants, elderly people and many local people. The offerings includes incenses, flowers, chung cake, giay cake and local products.



This ceremony is a traditional activity aims to preserve and maintain the long-lasting cultural beauty of the nation, expressing the spirit of "when drinking water, remember its source", the merit of ancestors and towards the roots.
