( - As one of many meaningful cultural and historical works built on the islands of the Truong Sa archipelago (Spratly Islands district, Khanh Hoa province), General Vo Nguyen Giap Park in Son Ca island was built to commemorate and pay tribute to the legendary General of the Vietnamese nation, the eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army.

On the occasion of the 110th birthday of General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911 - 2021), Phu Tho Newspaper would like to introduce the images of General Vo Nguyen Giap Park on Son Ca island:

General Vo Nguyen Giap Park covers an area of 400m2 on Son Ca island in Spratly Islands district of Khanh Hoa province

The center of the park is a portrait sculpture of General Vo Nguyen Giap, with a 1.76m heigh and 3-ton weigh, carved from monolithic sandstone.

On both sides of the monument is an arc-shaped wall paved with ceramic, illustrating 300 photos associated with events and milestones of General Vo Nguyen Giap's life and military career as well as the combat, building and maturing process of the heroic Vietnam People's Navy.

More than a spiritual value, this park is the spiritual fulcrum of the army and people on the island, the highlight of Son Ca island's beauty .
