Duc My Soy Sauce

PTO – Soy sauce is a familiar dish in every Vietnamese family. In the past, almost every house brew some jars of soy sauce. Nowadays, in Duc My Village, Cao Xa Commune (Lam Thao District), soy sauce is not only a familiar dish, but also becomes a commercial commodity that is produced and distributed in many places, bringing stable incomes for local people. To get a delicious jar of soy sauce, besides strict compliance with the standard processes of fermentation and drying, it also requires enthusiasm and passion of soy sauce makers.

The profession of making soy sauce in Duc My Village has existed for a long time. The best time to cause fermentation is in lunar June and July.

When mould turns areca flower’s yellow, roasted soybean sauce will be added.

Finished "fermentation" will make traditional soy sauce.

Getting enough sunlight, soy sauce will become riper, delivering more attractive flavour and taste

Duc My soy sauce followed traders to all parts of the country, contributing to building Cao Xa hometown more beautiful and prosperous.
