Phu Tho’s senior delegation visits some professional agencies of Victorian state - Australia

PTO- Within the framework of the working visit, on June 1st, Phu Tho’s senior delegation led by Mr. Hoang Dan Mac - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Council paid a working visit to some professional agencies of Victorian state, the second-largest economy of Australia, including: the Cabinet; Ministry of Health and Human Services; Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.
Mrs.Sally Richardson - Representative of the Victorian Ministry of the Cabinet expressed her pleasure to welcome and work with Phu Tho’s senior delegation and affirmed that the two countries were in the best development period so far, especially after Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made a successful visit to Australia in March, thus creating a basis for the partners of two sides. Taking this opportunity, Phu Tho and the Victorian state had chance to research and find out the ability to cooperate in all fields. Mrs.Sally Richardson stressed that Vietnam is one of the most important economic partners of Victorian state. The community of 80,000 Vietnamese has been highly appreciated and always has been created the most favorable conditions for development. Within the meeting, Mrs. Negah Rahmani - Southeast Asia Research Specialist, Ministry of Trade; Mr. Sam Byfield - Representative of Ministry of Health and Human Services and Mr. Jack Eddie - Representative of Ministry of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources provided information on the trade and investment relations between Vietnam and Victoria in recent years along with the state's leading healthcare, education and training system, stressing that Vietnam is currently Victoria's second largest trading partner, with a trade value of $ 1.9 billion in the 2016-2017 period. 
In the field of education - training, according to statistics in 2017, Vietnam is the fourth largest student country studying in Victoria with approximately 13,090 students. In the field of healthcare, the state has a high-quality public health system and intensive care with a hospital system of international standards… Representatives of Victorian specialized agencies expressed that the delegation’s working visit will contribute to enhancing the understanding between Phu Tho and Victorian state in particular and between the two countries in general, creating the opportunity to cooperate in all areas where both sides have potential and need in the future.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Hoang Dan Mac introduced briefly the features of the location, transport infrastructure, services, situation of socio-economic development, especially the potentials, strengths, mechanism, preferential policies of investment and list of projects calling for key investment of Phu Tho province at present.
Regarding the development orientation of the province in the coming time, Mr. Hoang Dan Mac stressed that the province has been carrying out many measures in a synchronous manner, emphasizing the importance of implementation of foreign investment promotion programs; Exploring the effective models of tourism development, culture which are suitable with the characteristics of the Phu Tho province, and expanding the exchange of information, inviting investors to cooperate in the province in order to bring Phu Tho to achieve the goal of becoming a leading province in socio-economic development in midland of Northern Vietnam. Phu Tho province has also issued many preferential policies to domestic and foreign investors, focusing on administrative reform; enhancing direct dialogue with enterprises, creating an open and friendly investment environment to attract foreign partners and enterprises to invest in production and business activities in the province. In particular, the province welcomed and created conditions for Australian businesses to invest in high technology application,  agriculture, industry and tourism development…
On this occasion, Mr.Hoang Dan Mac thanked for the warm and friendly welcome of the state government, expressed that the two sides could cooperate in all fields, learning from the Melbourne experience in building, urban management, information technology applications, building high-quality human resources and tourism development. 
On the same day, the delegation paid a working visit to the Royal Melbourne Hospital - one of the oldest hospitals in Australia with a history of nearly 170 years.
