The provincial NA delegation works at Phu Tho Power Company

PTO- On the morning of May 14th, the provincial NA delegation led by Mr. Bui Minh Chau, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the provincial NA delegation had a working session at Phu Tho Power Company (PPC).

The issue of electricity supply in the hot season and the implementation of production and business tasks in 2019 were the content interested by many voters in the province before the 7th Session of 14th National Assembly.

According to the report of PPC, there are currently 2 transformer stations of 220kV and 13  transformer stations of 110kV with a total capacity of over 1,500MVA. In which, PPC manages 26 intermediate transformer stations/ 36 transformer machines, 3,170 additional transformer stations with a total capacity of over 1.1 million kVA and over 7,600 km of medium and low voltage lines. By the end of April 2019, there were nearly 390,000 customers buying electricity from PPC.

In 2018, the company invested 40 projects with a total value of over VND245 billion. In 2019, the company was assigned 28 projects with a total investment capital of over VND190 billion.

Addressing at the session, Secretary Bui Minh Chau stressed: Due to the increasing demand for electricity use of the people while the limited system of material facilities, PPC should continue to coordinate with departments and branches, including Industry and Trade sector to adjust the plan and vision to 2030 to ensure electricity supply and development in association with the province's socio-economic development. The Department of Industry and Trade needs a comprehensive inspection of cooperatives not yet handed rural low-voltage electricity grids to the electricity sector. Regarding to issues of power grid infrastructure development in the localities, the electricity sector timely adjusted and report to the Northern Power Corporation to early investment in construction and renovation of power grid works in the coming time.

PPC actively cooperated with media agencies to promote dissemination for people to timely receive information, creating high consensus in the State’s power price adjustment.
