Socio-economic development in the first 6 months achieved positive results

Secretary Bui Minh Chau chaired the conference

PTO - On June 21st, Mr. Bui Minh Chau, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, Head of the provincial NA delegation, chaired a conference to review the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks and the inspection and supervision of the first 6 months and the task of the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months, the provincial gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at VND28,689 billion, up by 9.2% over the same period; State budget revenue in the province was estimated at VND3,371 billion, up by 9.6%; the total social investment capital was estimated at VND12,181 billion, agricultural and forestry production and industry continued to maintain the growth momentum. The province recognized 91 communes, 151 residential areas as new rural areas, increased 9 communes and 38 residential areas compared to the end of 2018. Provincial competitiveness index (PCI) increased by 3 places and ranked 24th in the country. Mr. Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee addressed at the conference.

At the conference, Secretary Bui Minh Chau requested all levels and sectors continue to focus on drastically directing programs and plans to comprehensively develop socio-economic in the last 6 months of the year.
