Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee addressed at the conference.

PTO- On June 3rd, Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a regular conference to review the socio-economic development and the implementation of budget estimates of the first 6 months and some other important contents.

In the first 6 months of the year, the province's economic growth rate is estimated at 6.25%, the total product in the province is estimated at VND28,689 billion, up by 9.2% over the same period; export value is estimated at USD750 million, up by 24% over the same period; total social investment capital is estimated at over VND12,180 billion. The whole province recognized 90 communes meeting new rural standards; 151 new rural residential areas. The 2018 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) increased 3 places compared to 2017, ranking 24th out of 63 provinces and cities.

The work of education and training, human resource development, job creation has prospered. Phu Tho ranked 11/63 provinces in the selection of National excellent students (grade 12 of highschools). In the first 6 months, there are 16 more schools reaching national standards. The rate of trained and vocational workers reaches 65%; the rate of trained workers with certificate is estimated at 26.7%. The whole province has 218/277 communes and wards meeting new criteria for the period of 2015-2020.

Regarding to the implementation of financial and budgetary tasks in the first 6 months, the total State budget revenue in the province is estimated over VND3,300 billion, up by 9.6% compared to the same period in 2018.

Concluding this content, Chairman Bui Van Quang requested: All levels, sectors and localities to focus on achieving and exceeding the socio-economic development targets in 2019.

The leader of Department of Planning and Investment presented a report on evaluating the situation of socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year, direction of task implementation in the last 6 months of the year.

Then, the conference listened and commented on the report regulating titles, numbers and allowances for non-specialized people at commune and residential areas; paying expenditure for socio-political organizations at the commune level and the report on the plan of medium-term reserve capital from 2016 to 2020 of the national target programme for building new-style rural areas.
