Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang works with the Korea International Cooperation Agency

PTO - On July 29th, Mr. Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Vietnam.


Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of KOICA to visit and work in Phu Tho. The Chairman gave an overview of the socio-economic development, potentials and advantages of the province; he also gave some basic information about Korean organizations and enterprises in the province and the provincial prioritized sectors to call for investment. He expected, in the coming time, the Korean Government and KOICA continue to survey and deploy ODA’s projects in Phu Tho and at the same time he called for other Korean investors to the province. In particular, he proposed some items that KOICA can cooperate and support Phu Tho, such as upgrading urban transport system in Viet Tri City; introducing Korean businesses to cooperate in the production of foods using green tea essences; strengthening cultural exchange and support in Korean teaching in the province; exchange experience in preserving and promoting cultural heritage to promote tourism development; assisting provincial officials in learning experiences in a number of fields; researching and establishing external relations, thereby, tightening the cooperative relations between Phu Tho and RoK in the coming time.


Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kim Jinoh – Country Director of KOICA Vietnam thanked the warm reception of Phu Tho provincial leaders. Mr. Kim Jinoh also shared information on a number of collaborative categories such as dispatching officials to train in Korea, inviting Korean teachers to teach Korean language at the province, technical assistance in tea plantation. Regarding the urban transport upgrading project, Mr. Kim also shared the process and procedures needed to continue to consider and cooperate in the future.


Previously, the delegation of KOICA visited and offered incense to commemorate Hung Kings at the Hung King Temple.
