PTO - On July 17th, a delegation of the Central Economic Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung - Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Industry paid a working visit and conducted a survey for a project themed "Development of material industry to 2030, vision to 2045" to submit to the Politburo.

In recent years, industrial development in the province has maintained the growth momentum. In theperiod of 2016 to 2020, its average growth rate was estimated at 11%/ year. In particular, the wood and paper processing industry has achieved a good growth, reaching 9.1%/ year; the average growth rate of the chemical industry was over 5%/ year. However, the development of industry in general and the material industry in particular of the province has faced many difficulties.

In the coming time, Phu Tho would give priority to industries and industrial products based on the traditional material areas and markets the province owns; encouraging and attracting projects with competitive advantages and great added value. In the period of 2021-2030, to step by step building the provincial industry up to the advanced level, a number of industrial products with high competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets.


Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai hoped that the Central Economic Committee would soon complete the project to facilitate the development of the material industry for the cause of industrialization - modernization of the country and the deep integration of the international economy. He also show his expect to continue receiving the attention of the central ministries and branches to further develop the material industry in Phu Tho.

Conclusion of the working session, Deputy Director Nguyen Ngoc Trung emphasized: Phu Tho has strengths in developing material industry, especially paper and chemical production. He hoped in the time to come, the province would continue to pay attention to improve the investment environment; coordinating with central ministries and agencies in promptly removing difficulties and obstacles and promoting the development of the province's material industry. The delegation would research the project and submitted proposal to the Politburo.
