6,400 units of blood donated

PTO – According to the provincial Red Cross, in April 2020, agencies, units and localities held voluntary blood donation campaigns and received about 1,500 blood units, bringing the total number of blood unit since the beginning of the year to 6,400.

It was promptly replenished into the blood bank at the provincial health care facilities for treatment.

Facing the risk of serious blood shortage due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the provincial Steering Committee on Voluntary Blood Donation has requested agencies, units and localities to select appropriate blood donation sites for small groups, ensuring the safe and the effectiveness. At the same time, integrating propaganda on prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic to 37,373 turns of people; allocating over 144 thousand face masks, bottles of hand sanitizer for free to raise people's awareness about prevention of disease.
