Vibrantly colored with yellow bellflowers

When coming to Thanh Thuy district on these days, people are interested in enjoy seeing the rows of yellow bellflowers stretching along the roads beside the romantic Da River. This is the enthusiasm of the local government and people, contributing to beautifying the landscape and creating a good impression on tourists from everywhere when visiting Thanh Thuy tourism district.

In the last days of October, being present at DT317 running through Dong Trung commune, we witnessed the brilliant colors of yellow bellflowers along the roadside.

This is the time when yellow bell flowers bloom, creating a beautiful picture in the land next to “Tan Mountain and Da River”. The bellflowers have been planted by the Dong Trung Commune Youth Union since 2021, with funding to buy seedlings from the Commune People’s Committee.

The distance of bellflower trees is about 2 meters and the bellflower row stretches about 3 kilometers.

Yellow bellflowers (also known as chili flowers) are of South American origin, but prefers a humid tropical monsoon climate, so it is grown in many places in Vietnam, including Phu Tho.

The yellow bellflower tree is 5 - 15m in height. The trunk is straight and the canopy is arched. The flowers are bright yellow, growing in clusters at the ends of branches.

Yellow bellflower trees are widely planted in school grounds, houses, parks or streets to provide shade and create beautiful natural landscapes.
