Phu Tho: wins the Gold Medal in Traditional Wrestling at the National Sports Festival

baophutho.vn On the evening of December 19, at the Sports Training and Competition Center in Bac Giang province, athlete Le Dai Phuc from Phu Tho had a calm and confident day of competition when effectively using his techniques to knock down his opponent and won an absolute victory in the Traditional Wrestling Final for Men of 75-78 kg weight class to bring home the fourth Gold Medal for Phu Tho Sports Team at the IX National Sports Festival in 2022.

The traditional wrestling within the framework of the Sports Festival took place from December 12 to 19 in Bac Giang province with participation of more than 150 athletes from 17 teams across the country. The Phu Tho traditional wrestling team has 3 coaches and 3 male athletes competing in weight classes including: 54-57kg, 60-63kg and 75-78kg. At the end of all competitions, athletes from the Fatherland won a Gold medal of athlete Le Dai Phuc and exceeded the target set before the Festival.

Thus, after not being included in the list of competitions of the three sports festivals, the traditional wrestling event was held again this year with the participation of many leading athletes in Vietnam.
