These days, at the Hung Temple Historical Site, construction units are urgently accelerating the progress of various items to serve the Hung Kings' Commemoration, Hung Temple Festival, and Ancestral Land Culture-Tourism Week 2026. Among these, the restoration and renovation of the Public Guest House (Nhà Công quán) stands as a key project.
Construction units mobilize equipment and manpower for the restoration of the Public Guest House.
The project, with a total investment of nearly 5 billion VND, is managed by the Hung Temple Historical Site Management Board. Funding is sourced from merit contributions for the restoration and construction of Hung Temple, along with other legally mobilized sources. The restoration aims to halt the deterioration of the old architectural structure while revitalizing the specific landscape of the Public Guest House and the general scenery of the site, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the Hung Temple Special National Historic Site.
Currently, the construction unit has completed the dismantling phase and is rebuilding the structure on its original foundation. The distinctive octagonal architecture and the 72.7 m2 area are strictly preserved, reinforced with a reinforced concrete foundation. The structural system—including the frame, roof, columns, beams, rafters, and purlins—has been replaced with ironwood, treated for termite prevention to ensure both aesthetics and long-term durability. The floor is paved with traditional “Bat” bricks, and the railings are crafted from natural stone.
The project is expected to be completed and put into use before the festival’s opening day on April 17, 2026. This will contribute to a dignified appearance for the site, effectively serving the sightseeing and spiritual needs of residents and pilgrims during the festival season.
