Digital transformation is opening further development spaces for the business community of Phu Tho. From manufacturing plants to e-commerce platforms, and from experience-based management to data-driven governance, an increasing number of Ancestral Land entrepreneurs are proactively opening “the digital door” to elevate competitiveness, expand markets, and step deeper into value chains.

Workers at R-Tech Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Left Bank Da River Industrial Park – Hoa Binh Ward) manufacture high-precision optical lenses.
From Factories to Digital Spaces
In a modern manufacturing plant, numbers displayed on screens are no longer merely technical data. They represent information regarding step-by-step productivity, product quality, raw material consumption rates, order progress, or capacity to meet customer demands. When data becomes connected, enterprises gain additional tools to clearly visualize manufacturing operations and act with greater agility before market shifts.
In Phu Tho, corporate digital transformation is deployed across multiple tiers — from data digitization, utilization of online public services, e-tax, and e-customs to applying management software, automation, and data exploitation serving executive leadership. The province’s 2026 digital transformation plan targets the digital economy contributing a minimum of 23% to GRDP; at least 60% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) utilizing digital platforms in operations; and at least 50% of enterprises employing e-contracts.
Partron Vina Co., Ltd. (Khai Quang Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc Ward) is an electronic component manufacturing enterprise in the region. In a high-tech manufacturing environment, process, quality, and progress control require data to be continually updated, connected, and efficiently utilized. This represents a universal requirement for enterprises seeking deeper integration into supply chains of major corporations.
In 2026, G8 Electronics Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Mechanical Technology Forming Joint Stock Company were selected to participate in the Smart Factory Development Support Project co-deployed by Samsung Electronics Vietnam and the Department of Industry and Trade. Assessing current statuses, analyzing workflows, and identifying points for improvement demonstrate that digital transformation is penetrating very specific operational stages within enterprises.

Vietnam Precision Industrial No. 1 Co., Ltd. enhances operational efficiency through applying advanced technologies in production and business.
Mr. Dao Tien Hung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Precision Industrial No. 1 Co., Ltd. (Khai Quang Industrial Park), remarked: “When orders increase, quality and delivery timeline requirements grow ever higher, rendering manual management methods no longer suitable. Applying technology helps us manage data centrally, monitor each operational stage, detect problems early, and maintain better control over product quality. More importantly, data enables businesses to prove manufacturing capabilities and meet requirements of major partners more effectively.”
Digital transformation is thus not simply purchasing additional machinery or software, but a process of shifting work organization, decision-making methods, and how enterprises connect with customers and partners. For businesses aiming to join global supply chains, delivering a compliant product is no longer sufficient; tight control capabilities over processes, quality, data, and timelines represent the decisive factor for competitiveness.
When Markets Expand on Digital Platforms
While technology transforms the interior of factories, e-commerce is broadening business spaces outside the enterprise.
For a small production facility, cooperative, or enterprise located far from urban centers, geographical distance was once a major barrier. But circumstances have changed: signature products of Phu Tho can now be introduced on online platforms, reaching customers across numerous localities while combining product traceability, cashless payments, and modern delivery methods.
The Phu Tho Province E-Commerce Development Plan for the 2026–2030 Period targets that by 2030, over 70% of enterprises will apply e-commerce; over 60% of SMEs will trade on e-commerce platforms; 80% of e-commerce transactions will be conducted without cash; and 100% of the province’s key products will feature QR codes and electronic traceability systems.
The digital transformation story is therefore not confined solely to industrial parks. For small businesses, cooperatives, and local producers, social networks, e-commerce platforms, QR codes, and digital payments are creating additional channels to bring products to consumers. An OCOP product, local specialty, or traditional handicraft can tell its story to distant customers without depending entirely on traditional distribution channels.

Modern machinery systems receive investment, helping Minh Phuc An Agricultural Products Processing Joint Stock Company enhance processing capacity.
Minh Phuc An Agricultural Products Processing Joint Stock Company (Tam Dao Commune) serves as an example of an enterprise proactively investing in technology modernization, automating line stages, and applying information technology in management. Combining production technology with digital governance and market expansion helps the business raise its capacity to fulfill orders and target demanding export markets.
Ms. Au Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Company, shared: “When bringing products onto digital platforms, we gain opportunities to access customers across far more localities. However, selling in a digital environment also demands corporate transformation: imagery must be professional, information transparent, origin clear, responses swift, and deliveries aligned with commitments. Digital transformation does not just expand markets; it compels us to elevate product quality and service standards.”
Opening the Digital Door – Opening Pathways into Value Chains
Technology only generates true value when converted into productivity, quality, revenue, and competitive capacity. Therefore, alongside constructing digital infrastructure, the province is step-by-step perfecting policies to support enterprises in technological innovation, e-commerce development, and digital skill enhancement.
For SMEs, digital transformation can begin with specific actions: data digitization, order management, accounting, human resources, and customer care; before advancing toward production management, automation, data analytics, and supply chain interconnections. The crucial factor is not chasing after every emerging technology, but choosing solutions aligned with scale, industry sector, and business objectives.
On the journey toward double-digit growth targets, enterprises constitute the direct force creating wealth, employment, and economic competitiveness. Digital transformation is thus no longer an isolated matter for the tech sector, but an integral component of corporate competitiveness.
For Ancestral Land entrepreneurs, opening the digital door means broadening development horizons. From a single factory to an entire supply chain, from a hometown specialty to vast markets, and from experience-driven management to data-driven governance..., today’s transformational steps are laying the groundwork for Phu Tho enterprises to reach further, act with greater initiative, and generate new values in the digital economy.
