Doan Hung District People’s Committee has just announced the decision and awarded ownership of the certification mark “Hung Long lychees”.

Currently, the entire Hung Long commune has 374 households growing lychees with an area of 48.4 hectares. In 2022, the Department of Science and Technology has approved the implementation of the project “Creating, managing and developing the certification mark”Hung Long Lychee“for early ripe lychee products of Hung Long commune, Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province”. The project aims to build brands, control, improve quality, advertise and promote products and ensure legal rights and benefits for growers and consumers.

After two years of project implementation, the National Office of Intellectual Property issued Decision No. 77874/QD-SHTT dated October 6, 2023 on granting the Certificate of trademark registration “Hung Long lychees”. After Doan Hung grapefruit has been registered for trademark protection and geographical indication certification, this is the next product of Doan Hung district to be granted a certification mark.

Being certified will help the product “Hung Long lychees” become a reputable brand in the market, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals in developing production and trading of products, At the same time, improve economic efficiency in agricultural production in Hung Long commune in particular and Doan Hung district in general.

In the coming time, Doan Hung District People’s Committee will continue to direct the expansion of new planting of Hung Long Lychee area, improving the productivity and quality of the existing lychee area; Strengthen inspection and supervision of product quality; Organize the management, exploitation and development of certification marks effectively.
