Attracting Investment for Industrial Development

Currently, the district has over 200 industrial enterprises, including nearly 60 businesses operating in industrial complexes. These industrial and handicraft enterprises mainly operate in the fields of chemicals, paper, textiles, electronics, wood processing, building materials production, mechanics, and tea processing. In 2024, the production and business situation of enterprises is relatively stable, with some key products seeing an increase compared to the same period last year, such as: caustic soda reaching nearly 45,700 tons, up 73%; bleach (javel) at 14,800 tons, up nearly 12%; acid at nearly 53,500 tons, up 9%; and tissue paper at nearly 8,400 tons, up 7%.

Attracting Investment for Industrial Development

To attract investment, land clearance and the creation of clean land funds are always identified as key and crucial factors by the district. The district closely coordinates with provincial departments, agencies, and sectors to ensure the completion of compensation and land clearance work to build infrastructure for industrial complexes and major projects in the district.

There are currently three active industrial complexes in the district: Dong Lang IC, Tu Da-An Dao IC, and Phu Gia IC. In 2024, four new projects will attract investment into these industrial complexes, with a total investment of over 500 billion VND, and four projects will be adjusted, with an additional investment of more than 150 billion VND. To date, Dong Lang IC has reached 100% occupancy with 25 projects in operation. Tu Da-An Dao IC has 26 projects in operation, with an occupancy rate of over 93%. Phu Gia IC has four completed projects in operation, and one project is under construction. The industrial complexes create jobs for approximately 9,000 workers.

Most businesses operating in the district highly appreciate the attention and support from various sectors, especially in administrative procedures, land issues, and labor recruitment. The district People’s Committee has directed departments, agencies, and units to actively implement solutions to improve the investment and business environment, support, and develop enterprises in line with government and provincial directives. The investment and business environment continues to improve, investor confidence is strengthened, and businesses are more assured in their investments and production.

Vietnam Sao Viet Garment Investment Joint Stock Company (Zone 8, Phu Ninh Commune), which started operations in 2021, provides jobs for approximately 300 workers. Mr. Luu Anh Quy, the company’s director, stated: "Our company specializes in garment processing. In our production and business activities, we benefit from the district’s friendly investment and business environment, with basic infrastructure in place. The local government has facilitated land provision, labor recruitment, and timely addressed any difficulties or issues to find solutions. Additionally, the local authorities and relevant agencies effectively disseminate information on new legal regulations and tax policies, which has positively impacted the business."
