Converging favorable climate and soil conditions for the growth of tea plants, Phu Tho is known as the “cradle” of the tea industry. Adapting to the market trends, Phu Tho tea is increasingly diversifying its designs to serve customers, especially meeting the demand during Tet.

With an area of nearly 15,000 hectares, Phu Tho is one of the provinces with the largest tea area in the country. Tea production activities are associated with processing with 59 tea processing enterprises and cooperatives with a capacity of 1,000 tons of fresh tea buds per year or more, with nearly 1,300 craft processing establishments, 18 craft villages and about 25 tea production and processing cooperatives. From the batches of tea that were stirred by hand on the fire pan in the past, there are now modern tea production facilities and factories that produce many times higher output.

In addition to raw tea production, high-value green tea products have been concerned. To meet the demand for green tea for Tet, production facilities have proactively stockpiled raw materials since September and October. Purchasing power is concentrated on delicious and high-end teas. In order to meet the demand for give-away gifts during Tet, many establishments have adapted new packaging types such as vacuum bags, paper boxes, paper bags, tin boxes, which can be used as luxurious polite gifts. Many quality products such as: Hoai Trung tea, purple bud tea, Da Hen tea, Phu Thinh tea, Cam My tea... are sold at Co.op mart supermarkets, Hung Vuong Supermarkets, and OCOP Phu Tho product introduction stores...

Along with product quality, cultural and traditional factors of production and consumption, development associated with brands and trademarks is a suitable direction, contributing significantly to promoting and bringing Fatherland tea products to reach out.
