On January 16, Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, visited, encouraged, and extended New Year greetings to Brigade 12 of the Ministry of Defense (the unit responsible for constructing the new Phong Chau Bridge) and Brigade 249 of the Ministry of Defense (the unit managing and operating the Phong Chau ferry bridge).

Visiting, encouraging, and extending Tet greetings to the officials, engineers, and workers of Brigade 12 - Ministry of National Defense at the construction site of the new Phong Chau Bridge, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Quang praised, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the efforts of Brigade 12, which has mobilized sufficient human resources, financial resources, and modern machinery and equipment to focus on organizing and implementing the construction, ensuring the progress and quality of the project.

Starting construction in late December 2024, the Phong Chau new bridge project on National Highway 32C has completed the drilling and piling works for the T0, T1, and T2 pillars; dismantling and cleaning of the remaining sections of the bridge are in progress. Currently, the unit is mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment, working “3 shifts, 4 teams,” and working through Tet to ensure progress as planned, with the completion of the new Phong Chau Bridge expected by the end of 2025.
