Continue to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau delivered a speech to direct the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

(en.baophutho.vn) - On October 20th, Mr. Bui Minh Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People"s Council, Head of the Provincial NA Delegation, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control chaired a meeting to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the provincial Department of Health, as 6 a.m. of October 20th, 161 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the province since October 14th (120 in Viet Tri city, one in Phu Tho town, 31 in Lam Thao district, 9 in Phu Ninh district) with unknown sources of infection. There are a total of 1,410 cases of F1; 6,660 F2 and 4,938 F3.

Zoning off and temporarily blockade 30 areas with 3,588 households and 13,291 people; activating 71 checkpoints; organizing quick testing for 100% of people in the blockade area with nearly 60,000 samples. In the next few days, the number of COVID-19 cases might be likely to increase, but mainly in blocked and controlled areas.

Addressing at the meeting, Secretary Bui Minh Chau requested the provincial Department of Health continue to prioritize allocating COVID-19 rapid test kits to Viet Tri city, Phu Tho town and two districts of Lam Thao and Phu Ninh; conducting COVID-19 testing to all officials and employees of agencies, units and people in Viet Tri city; mobilizing more health forces to speed the progress of vaccination in Viet Tri city.

Conduct testing to all employees, workers in high-risk industrial zones and clusters such as Thuy Van, Bach Hac, Tu Da, etc. Those who working in industrial zones and clusters strictly follow the principle of "1 road, 2 destinations", enterprises need to review and well manage their officials and workers and must bear responsible for the spread of COVID-19.

Health sector guides cases of F1, F2 meeting the conditions of home isolation. Those who do not meet the conditions would be transferred to the field hospital of the province or district.

Mobilizing socialization resources, the Provincial Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and support from provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, etc. to purchase and receive medical equipment and supplies for the COVID-19 prevention and control.

Assigning police forces and local authorities to continue to manage facilities and camera systems at checkpoints for COVID-19 prevention and control at the gateways of the province.
