Based on existing potentials and advantages, the district has mobilized investment resources to upgrade and build traffic and commercial infrastructure. Modern and civilized business forms are becoming more popular. Typically: Limina Commercial Center, Dien May Xanh Supermarket, Mobile World, Vien Hau Shopping Center, Viet Mai Shopping Center... gradually become familiar shopping plaecs for people. The district also creates conditions for businesses to upgrade tourist areas and attractions, build sales booths in tourist areas so that tourists can easily access typical local products and specialties, promoting development of trade and service activities.

Not only focusing on building modern commercial infrastructure, the rural market network in the district is also given attention. From 2011 until now, the district has built a new Doan Ha market; invested in upgrading and renovating 6 markets, up to now 9/9 markets are operating stably. Small businesses sell diverse goods with guaranteed quality, building reputation with customers, especially people in the local area. Along with promoting the development of trade and service activities, Thanh Thuy district pays attention to the market management, prevention and combat of trading prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods of unknown origin, in order to ensure consumer rights and create a healthy competitive environment. Food hygiene and safety inspection activities and listing sales prices according to the regulations are organized regularly and continuously at markets and business establishments.

To promote trade and service development, the district also encourages businesses and business establishments to promote the development of e-commerce through setting up websites to promote and introduce product images and brands; Participate in sales on e-commerce platforms and social networks, especially for featured products and products from the OCOP Program, using QR codes to trace the origin of products and goods, such as: Bo village soy sauce, Dong Luan mushrooms, Da river fish... Along with that, the district is interested in training and developing high-quality, professional human resources in the development of trade and services, implementing policies to attract qualified human resources to serve development needs, and creating jobs and income for people. Currently, the total number of workers in the trade and service industry in 2023 is estimated to reach over 17,000 people; The labor structure in the trade, service and tourism sectors accounts for 35%.

Thanks to implementation of synchronous solutions, the district’s commercial and service activities are increasingly developing and growing, with abundant supply of goods, stable prices, no hoarding or price fever. There are currently more than 2,300 trade and service establishments in the district. Retail revenue of consumer goods and services in 2023 reached VND 2,430 billion, an increase of 12.5% ​​over the same period. All types of services associated with tourism develop strongly. The system of hotels, motels, and catering services well meets the needs of tourists, attracting on average 650,000-680,000 visitors each year to come for sightseeing and relaxing.
