On the afternoon of February 10, Mr. Bui Duc Hinh – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council – visited and extended New Year greetings to the leaders, doctors, and medical staff of the Provincial General Hospital on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, speaks during the visit.
Leading the Province’s Healthcare Excellence During the meeting, the hospital’s leadership reported that as a Grade I facility and the province’s highest specialized technical line, the hospital operates with 1,650 beds across 42 departments and centers, employing 1,583 staff, including 415 doctors. In 2025, the hospital examined nearly 395,000 patients and performed over 15,600 surgeries. Notably, many advanced techniques now match central-level standards, successfully reducing the referral rate to just 0.009%.
Ensuring Healthcare Readiness for Tet To serve the public during the Lunar New Year, the hospital has established a 24/7 four-level duty schedule. It has prepared a full supply of medicine, medical equipment, over 3,000 units of blood, and contingency plans for epidemics or emergencies. Additionally, the hospital has prepared 600 Tet gifts and coordinated with sponsors to distribute nearly 2,000 gifts to disadvantaged patients staying for treatment during the holiday.

The Deputy Secretary and Chairman presents Tet gifts to the medical staff of the Provincial General Hospital.
In light of these achievements, Mr. Bui Duc Hinh recognized and commended the efforts, sense of responsibility, and silent sacrifices of the hospital’s management, doctors, and medical staff in caring for and protecting public health. He urged the hospital to continue its role as the province’s frontline medical facility, specifically by accelerating training and attracting high-quality medical human resources, investing in modern infrastructure and equipment, and strengthening digital transformation and the application of science and technology in medical examinations and treatment.
Emphasizing the tasks for the Lunar New Year, he noted that the hospital must ensure the welfare of its staff, organize 24/7 professional duty shifts, and prepare sufficient medicines, supplies, equipment, and personnel to be ready for emergencies and timely interventions, ensuring a safe and peaceful holiday for the people. At the same time, the hospital should maintain excellent social work activities, providing care and gifts to patients, especially those in difficult circumstances undergoing treatment during Tet.
On the occasion of the New Year, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Bui Duc Hinh, wished the Board of Directors and the entire medical staff of the Provincial General Hospital a joyful, prosperous, and happy Year of the Horse, and continued success in excellently fulfilling their assigned missions.
