Hanh Cu Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Music Club Debuts in Thanh Ba Commune

The People’s Committee of Thanh Ba Commune has officially hosted a high-profile ceremony to announce the establishment and launch of the Hanh Cu Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Music Club. The debut event was attended by senior directors from the Center for Culture, Information, and Cinema (under the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), distinguished Xoan singing artisans, alongside various cultural and performing arts clubs from across the region.

During the official proceedings, the organizing board formally announced Decision No. 313, issued on April 2, 2026 by the Thanh Ba Commune People’s Committee, legally establishing the Hanh Cu Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Music Club. The ceremony marked the introduction of the club’s Executive Committee, the handover of the founding decree, and the presentation of the official Master Instructor Certificate to Artisan Nguyen Luu Hoang. The launching event was enriched by a vibrant cultural exchange, featuring masterclass performances of Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk music executed by leading art troupes from across the province.

To date, the club has successfully gathered over 20 active members who engage in rigorous training and have fully mastered 10 traditional vocal styles and performance techniques of Xoan singing. The members have proactively self-funded their authentic costumes and performance props, enabling them to actively serve international and domestic travelers at the 2026 Hung Kings' Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, alongside numerous high-profile cultural exchange programs throughout the province.
