Lam Thao Town Mobilizes Over 14.8 Billion VND from Residents for Urban Development
As part of the plan to develop Lam Thao Town (Lam Thao District) into a model civilized urban area, local authorities have effectively mobilized and utilized investment resources from both the state budget and community contributions to upgrade infrastructure, creating a more modern and well-planned urban landscape.
Specifically, residents have contributed over 3,100 square meters of land, 1,500 labor days, and dismantled 3,982 square meters of fencing to expand roads. Since 2023, the total investment mobilized for urban development in the town has reached 402.618 billion VND, including 7.5 billion VND from the provincial budget, over 301 billion VND from the district budget, more than 72 billion VND from the town’s budget, and 14.85 billion VND contributed by residents. Additionally, 34,240 labor days, valued at nearly 6.85 billion VND, have been voluntarily provided by the community.
As of December 2024, Lam Thao Town has met all 9 criteria for a model civilized urban area, achieving 100% of the plan with 52/52 indicators completed. All 9 residential areas in the town have been officially recognized by the district People’s Committee as model civilized communities.
