Launching the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign

On May 24, in Long Coc commune, Tan Son district, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held the launching ceremony of the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Responding to the campaign launched by the Central Youth Union Secretariat, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of Phu Tho province deployed from April to the end of August 2024, implementing the program “Supporting the exam season” and 4 volunteer campaigns including “Green Summer”, “Red Poinciana”, “Pink Holiday”, “Green March” with many meaningful activities such as: “Support children to go to school”, “For a Green Vietnam”, “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary blood donation”, “Community digital transformation”, “Proud of a beautiful country”... and regular, on-site volunteer activities.

At the launching ceremony, delegates along with accompanying units and campaign ambassadors awarded 70 scholarships and gifts to poor students in difficult circumstances of Tan Son district; 100 boxes of noodles for students at Vinh Tien Primary and Secondary Ethnic Boarding School; 50 gifts for under-policy families and families in difficult circumstances in the district; awarded 40 video clips introducing and promoting typical products associated with Tan Son district tourism development; awarded 3 “Toilets for Children” to schools and a “Red Scarf House” to students in difficult circumstances in Long Coc commune.

Also at the launching ceremony, response activities took place: Fatherland youth visited to protect and preserve national cultural identity associated with tourism development in the area; Organize medical examination and treatment and provide free medicine to people in Long Coc commune; introducing and promoting OCOP products, typical local products associated with tourism development in Phu Tho province on digital platforms; Organizing environmental sanitation, and tree care...
