Ngoc Tan village communal house festival kicks off
During the two days of March 10th and 11th, Ngoc Quan commune, Doan Hung district held Ngoc Tan village communal house festival - a traditional cultural festival associated with the founding of the village of Cao Lan ethnic people.

Ngoc Tan village communal house was built in 1803 during the 2nd year of King Gia Long’s reign and ranked as a provincial cultural and historical relic in 1994. The temple worships the Three Triads of Cao Son, Cao Dao and Cao Dai during the 18th Hung King period, helped the King defeat the enemy and was worshiped as the Village’s Tutelary god by Ngoc Tan villager. So far, the communal house still has preserved many precious artifacts from the Nguyen Dynasty.
Crossbow shooting competition in Festival
Ngoc Tan communal house festival is carried out according to the traditional rituals of the Cao Lan ethnic people, with the highlight of slaughtering black pigs at 12 a.m on the lunar February 2nd. The festival was held enthusiastically with cultural, artistic and sports activities such as: Sinh Ca singing, folk games, etc. Thereby, expressing the spirit of love for life and unique cultural identity of Cao Lan ethnic people.
