Opening of the 7^th Session – the 19^th Provincial People's Council

In the morning of December 6, at the Provincial Convention Center, the 19^th People's Council of Phu Tho Province, term of 2021-2026 solemnly opened the 07^th Session.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Minh Chau emphasized: In this session, the Provincial People's Council is expected to approve 24 resolutions; spend adequate time for discussion, questioning and explanation at the meeting, conduct a vote of confidence according to the provisions of Resolution No. 96 dated June 23^rd 2023 of the National Assembly on the vote of confidence for position holders elected or approved by the National Assembly or People's Council. This is an important supervision method, aiming to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supervision activities of the Provincial People's Council and all levels, and improve the quality and efficiency of the state apparatus.

After the opening speech of the Chairman, on behalf of the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Trong Tan presented a summary of the Report for assessment on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2023; directions and tasks in 2024.

Then, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Hai presented a summary of the Report of the Fatherland Front Committee on synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people to the People's Council and People's Committee of the Province to present to the 07^th Session of the 19^th Provincial People's Council.

In the morning work program, the Provincial People's Council completed the personnel work of the Provincial People's Committee. The delegates also listened to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council’s presentation of a Proposal on the list of people receiving votes of confidence at the 07^th Session, the 19^th Provincial People's Council, term of 2021 - 2026 and voted 100% in agreement with the list of candidates receiving votes of confidence. The delegates also elected a Vote Counting Committee and approved other tasks to prepare for the vote of confidence in the morning of December 7.
