Phu Tho Crossbow Team Ranks Second in the 7th National Championship

On October 18, at Ho Nui Coc Tourist Area, Thai Nguyen Province, the final round and award ceremony for athletes with high achievements took place within the framework of the 7th National Crossbow Championship in 2024. Phu Tho Crossbow Team won 16 medals of all kinds, finishing in second place overall.

Phu Tho Crossbow Team received the Second Place Flag at the 7th National Crossbow Championship.

This year’s tournament took place from October 11 to 18, with the participation of 135 athletes from 11 localities across the country, competing in 24 individual and team events in standing and kneeling shooting positions. After 7 days of exciting competition, the crossbow shooting athletes of the Land of the Ancestors won 16 medals of all kinds, including 6 gold medals for the athletes: Dinh Cong Tuan in the Individual Men’s Standing Shooting category; Hoang Thi Minh, Ngoc Thi Thuy Manh, and Dinh Thi Nguyen in the Women’s Standing Shooting and Women’s Kneeling Shooting categories; Phung The Ngoc, Le Van Ngoc, and Dinh Hong Phuc in the Men’s Kneeling Rapid Shooting category; Le Anh Tuan, Ha Van Xuat, Ly Thi Thuy Giang, and Do Thi Xuan in the Men’s and Women’s Kneeling Shooting and the Men’s and Women’s Kneeling Rapid Shooting categories, along with 5 silver medals and 5 bronze medals for the athletes. This impressive achievement helped Phu Tho Crossbow Shooting finish in second place overall, only 1 gold medal behind the first-placed team, Hoa Binh. Phu Tho Crossbow Team won 17 medals at the 7th National Crossbow Championship in 2024.

The National Crossbow Championship is held annually to create a playground for ethnic minority athletes to meet, exchange experiences, strengthen solidarity, and further bond in the Vietnamese ethnic community. Thereby, contributing to promoting the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups.
