Phu Tho has a new Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee

On the afternoon of October 18, the 19th Provincial People’s Council, term 2021 - 2026, held the 6th thematic session to review and decide on the content of personnel work.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bui Minh Chau spoke at the session.

The session was chaired by comrades: Bui Minh Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Duong Hoang Huong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Thi Hong Lam, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.

Mr. Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, presented the Personnel Introduction Report.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bui Minh Chau, emphasized: At this session, the Provincial People’s Council will carry out procedures and order according to the law to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 19th term, 2021 - 2026. This is a very important content; therefore, it is recommended that the delegates of the Provincial People’s Council uphold their responsibility, promote democracy and solidarity, demonstrate high unity, and wisely choose to elect comrades with sufficient capacity, qualities, and intelligence to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term, helping to lead, direct, and implement comprehensive socio-economic development tasks, meeting the requirements of the province.

Under the direction of the Chairman of the Session, the delegates listened to Comrade Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, present the Personnel Introduction Report for the Provincial People’s Council to elect Comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, term 2021 - 2026.

Based on the report, 100% of the delegates of the Provincial People’s Council voted in favor and passed. With 62/62 votes of confidence, reaching 100% of the delegates present, Comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc was elected as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, term XIX, term 2021-2026.

Delegates voted to approve the resolution confirming the results of the election to fill the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, term XIX, 2021 - 2026.

100% of the Provincial People’s Council delegates also voted to approve the resolution confirming the results of the election to fill the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, term XIX, 2021 - 2026 for comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc was born in 1970, Kinh ethnic group; hometown: Dan Thuong commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province; qualifications: Doctor of Medicine, Master of Economic Management, Senior Political Theory; is a delegate of the Provincial People’s Council in Thanh Ba district.

In his closing speech at the session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bui Minh Chau, affirmed: With a serious spirit and high responsibility towards voters and people in the province, the 6th thematic session of the Provincial People’s Council, term XIX, 2021 - 2026, has completed the contents and programs set out. The meeting demonstrated the spirit, responsibility, trust, and high unity of the delegates of the Provincial People’s Council. The consolidation of the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee is of utmost importance to ensure continuity, comprehensiveness, and unity in the leadership, direction, and administration of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Congratulating comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc on being elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 19th term, 2021 - 2026, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council believes that he will make the most of his ability, intelligence, and qualities to successfully complete the assigned tasks, meeting the trust and expectations of delegates, voters, and people in the province.

Overview of the session

Referring to the Ninth Session of the 19th Provincial People’s Council, which will take place at the end of the year as planned, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bui Minh Chau requested: Along with strengthening the direction and management to successfully complete the socio-economic development tasks in 2024, the Provincial People’s Committee needs to focus on completing the contents prepared for submission at the Ninth Session, ensuring the time and quality of the content of the submissions and reports. The Committees of the Provincial People’s Council need to do a good job of verification; the Provincial People’s Council Delegation Groups need to coordinate with the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities, and towns to prepare and organize well the meetings of voters of the Provincial People’s Council delegates; maintain group meetings before and after the session according to the plan of the Provincial People’s Council Standing Committee. Each Provincial People’s Council delegate upholds his/her role and responsibility and performs well the duties of a delegate, contributing to the successful implementation of the Ninth Session of the 19th Provincial People’s Council.
