Phu Tho participates in the festival to showcase traditional costumes of Vietnam"s ethnic minorities
en.baophutho.vn - More than 30 representatives of the Phu Tho ethnic groups will attend the Great Solidarity of Ethnic Groups- Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Week 2022 and the first festival of traditional costumes of ethnic minority groups in the Northern region. The event will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay Town, the capital city of Hanoi from November 18 to 23.
Themed “The colours of northern ethnic traditional costumes amid integration and development era”, it is expected to feature a meeting with artisans and people who have made significant contributions to the preservation of ethnic culture, a seminar, a fashion show, and a number of exhibitions, among other activities.
At the event, Phu Tho artisans will perform the traditional costumes Dao (Dao Quan Chet group), Muong and Cao Lan (original) ethnic groups on weekdays, festivals and weddings.
The delegation will show traditional costumes and brocades, cultural artifacts associated with the daily life of the ethnic minorities in pictures; traditional culinary products; typical products, etc.
Within the framework of the festival, artisans will participate in a conference themed “Solutions to preserve and promote traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the current period”.
