Over the 10 days of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival and the 2025 Year of the Snake Culture and Tourism Week, from March 29th to April 7th (1st to 10th of the 3rd lunar month), Phu Tho Province is estimated to have welcomed around 5.5 million visitors.
According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, during the 10 days of the festival, Phu Tho Province welcomed approximately 5.5 million visitors from both local residents and tourists to the Land of the Hung Kings. They participated in various festival activities, toured tourist sites, and practiced the worshipping rituals of the Hung Kings. Particularly, on the peak days of Saturday (April 5th) and Sunday (April 6th), the Hung Kings Historical Site recorded a sharp increase in visitors.
This year, many artistic programs, folk performances, and sports activities were organized, creating a vibrant and exciting festival atmosphere. Although some festival activities had to be temporarily suspended or postponed, it did not reduce the appeal of the carefully organized, safe, and effective cultural, sports, and tourism activities.
The 2025 Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival and the Year of the Snake Culture and Tourism Week concluded with many beautiful impressions. The solemn and respectful rituals were held in the traditional manner, while the festivities were lively, joyful, and united, reflecting the national tradition of “remembering the source when drinking water” and helping to promote the image of Phu Tho— the birthplace of the nation—to friends and visitors both domestically and internationally.
