On the afternoon of July 14, the Fourth Session of the 19th Provincial People"s Council concluded the work schedule and adopted a number of significant contents following two days of urgent and serious working.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People"s Council Bui Minh Chau made the final statement.

Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People“s Committee, declared that 7.8% of the province”s economy grew in the first half of 2022 representing a significant growth rate in comparison to the same period many years ago. Total investment capital, export value, state budget revenue, industrial production indexes, and other metrics all grew favorably. Socio-cultural fields continued to be maintained and achieved some positive results. Site clearance and the execution of significant projects have been firmly directed. The outcomes have demonstrated that the breakthrough in enhancing the business investment environment identified at the 19th Provincial Party Congress was implemented with the proper leadership and guidance. Based on analysis and evaluation of socio-economic development tasks done in the first half of the year and assessment and forecasting of the situation in the final half of 2022,, the Provincial People“s Committee has outlined particular groups of tasks and solutions for socio-economic growth. The Provincial People”s Committee"s strategic direction and management stance is to firmly grasp the situation, closely monitor actual developments to direct and promptly handle arising problems; make the best effort, determination, and more drastic measures; continue the recovery momentum in all fields, striving to achieve and surpass the set targets in 2022; and build a development foundation for the entire period of 2021–2025.

The Provincial People“s Council unanimously discussed, voted on, and approved 15 resolutions in the spirit of innovation, democracy, and wisdom. These resolutions helped to concretize Party principles, state laws, and local conditions; being a significant step toward the achievement of the province”s socio-economic development goals in the final half of 2022 and the up coming years.

In the closing remarks, Mr. Bui Minh Chau declared the 19th Provincial People“s Council”s fourth session was successful. The meeting“s outcomes inspire faith in unity and agreement to work diligently to fulfill the responsibilities of 2022. The delegates” dedication and sense of duty in front of the electorate and people is recognized and appreciated by the Provincial People“s Council; the Provincial People”s Committee“s and relevant agencies” careful and responsible preparation, as well as their duty in organizing and running the meeting, etc.

The COVID-19 outbreak, unpredictable weather, and climate change are all expected to have a significant negative influence on the entire province in the remaining months of 2022. Mr. Chau proposed the following in order to successfully implement socio-economic targets in 2022: Focusing on directing the synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in 2022 that the Provincial People“s Council has approved, maintaining socio-economic stability in the province, striving to complete and exceed all of the targets; focusing on putting into action the province”s breakthrough stage in significantly improving the business investment environment and luring numerous new projects to invest in the province; continuing to put into action business support solutions, removing obstacles to production and business; raising the standard of cultural and social activities; ensuring national defense and security; looking after the material and spiritual well-being of the populace; creating jobs, ensuring social security, improving social welfare, and sustainably reducing poverty; maintaining a proactive security posture, avoiding being unprepared or passive in any situation; establishing and strengthening the collective people"s national defense posture.

Following this meeting, the Provincial People“s Council made a recommendation that the Provincial People”s Committee fully implement the directives of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and of the Provincial People"s Council to instruct branches and levels to implement the socio-economic development targets in 2022 in a timely and efficient manner.
