On the evening of April 14, at Hung Vuong Square, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration held a preliminary rehearsal for the Opening Arts Program of the Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week.

Committee and Arts Council members shared their expertise to ensure the program’s distinction and appeal to both locals and tourists.
Attending and directing the rehearsal was Mr. Duong Hoang Huong — Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism — along with leaders from various provincial departments and agencies.
The program features renowned artists, including People’s Artist Trong Binh, People’s Artist Thuy Ngan, and Meritorious Artist Thi Nhung. They are joined by artisans and performers from original Xoan wards, the Lac Hong Theater, Hanoi dance troupes, and students from various local primary and high schools.
The opening arts program for the 2026 Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, themed “Sacred Origins - Ancestral Land of the Hung Kings,” consists of three chapters: Chapter I: Sacred Origins; Chapter II: Journey to the Land of Heritage; and Chapter III: Phu Tho Rising with the Nation.
During the rehearsal, members of the Organizing Committee and the Arts Council provided feedback on stage arrangements, sound and lighting effects, and background visual displays for each performance. They also requested adjustments to costumes and props to ensure a balance between solemnity and the honoring of traditional cultural and artistic values.
Mr. Duong Hoang Huong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, urged the program directors to incorporate these necessary adjustments to ensure a truly unique, grand, and elaborate performance that leaves a lasting impression on residents and visitors.
The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM on April 17 (the 1st day of the third lunar month) at Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri City.
