On the afternoon of October 5, Comrade Vu Viet Van — Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee — inspected the management and maintenance of public utility services at Ho Chi Minh Square, alongside the implementation progress of the Vinh Phuc Amusement Park Project and the Vinh Phuc Funeral Home Project in Vinh Phuc ward. Accompanying him were leaders of several departments and sectors.

According to a report from the Vinh Phuc Ward People’s Committee, over the past period, the locality has effectively maintained urban public utility services such as waste collection and transportation, care and maintenance of green tree systems, and management and maintenance of urban lighting and drainage systems.
However, waste treatment efforts still face several difficulties and obstacles. The volume of waste temporarily buried at the foot of Bong Mountain and the Go Rua landfill lacks a definitive treatment plan, with leachate runoff posing a notable concern. Waste sorting at source has not been implemented, leaving domestic waste mixed with numerous impurities and creating difficulties for collection, transport, and processing operations.
Acknowledging Vinh Phuc ward’s efforts in maintaining urban public utility services, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the locality to proactively construct specific cost estimates for each service category, ensuring alignment with practical demands and resource capabilities. Among these, priority must be given to maintaining and ensuring the stable operation of the urban lighting system; alongside reviewing and replacing poorly performing green trees at Ho Chi Minh Square, contributing to preserving landscapes, the environment, and public living spaces for residents.
Following that, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van and the working delegation conducted an on-site inspection of construction progress at the Vinh Phuc Amusement Park Project and the Vinh Phuc Funeral Home Project.
The Vinh Phuc Amusement Park Project covers an area of over 16 hectares with a total investment of 415 billion VND, with its execution timeline extended through the end of 2027. However, due to lingering difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance, construction progress across several items and components remains slow. To date, approximately 1.9 hectares remain uncleared; total construction volume across the entire project has reached around 35% of contract value.

The Vinh Phuc Funeral Home Project carries a total investment of over 107 billion VND. To date, contractors have completed approximately 85% of total work volume. However, the project encounters site clearance obstacles involving 3 graves belonging to 2 households. Relevant units are continuing propaganda and mobilization efforts to build consensus for an early site handover, ensuring project completion according to plan.
Recognizing the efforts of the project owner and construction units, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the Vinh Phuc Ward People’s Committee to proactively coordinate with departments, sectors, and relevant units to focus on resolving compensation and site clearance bottlenecks; urgently finalizing procedures to hand over the remaining land area to construction units within committed timelines.
The Vice Chairman requested contractors to continue mobilizing manpower, machinery, and equipment, organizing rational construction schedules to accelerate progress across work items while guaranteeing quality, safety, and investment efficiency—striving to complete and commission both the Vinh Phuc Funeral Home Project and the Vinh Phuc Amusement Park Project within 2027.
