Strengthening Solidarity and Defense Cooperation Between Phu Tho and Luang Namtha

On the afternoon of October 7, Comrade Bui Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired a reception and working session with a delegation from the Military Headquarters of Luang Namtha Province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic) led by Colonel Boonmy Xaypasert, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Headquarters, on the occasion of their visit and courtesy call to the province.

Warmly welcoming the delegation from the Military Headquarters of Luang Namtha Province, Standing Deputy Secretary Bui Van Quang outlined salient features regarding the socio-economic development, potential, strengths, and strategic orientations of Phu Tho Province in the new period.

Reviewing the traditional cooperation journey between Phu Tho and Luang Namtha, the Standing Deputy Secretary affirmed that exchange and close coordination across various fields in recent times have not only increased political trust and mutual understanding, but also laid a solid foundation for the shared development of both localities.

Genuinely appreciating the proactive and effective cooperation from Luang Namtha, he expressed his desire for both provinces to maintain information exchange mechanisms and broaden linkage areas to make them increasingly deep and practical.

In particular, focus should rest on leveraging the core role of the armed forces and the close-knit bonds between the people of both provinces; firmly safeguarding security, order, and social safety, and continuously nurturing the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos to remain eternally green and ever-sustainable.

The Commander of the Luang Namtha Military Headquarters emphasized that the comprehensive achievements of cooperation between the two provinces in recent times serve as an important driving force for their respective armed forces to step up coordination, exchanges, and mutual learning in the coming period.
