However, a number of firms in the categories of building materials production, market wood processing, mechanical manufacturing... continue to face significant challenges as a result of constricted markets, lower consumption, and reduced sales volume, as well as enormous inventories. However, thanks to the province’s comprehensive, drastic, and adaptable leadership and direction, as well as the efforts of the business community, operations in industrial parks and complexes are progressively stabilizing.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hanh, Head of the Industrial Park Management Board, stated: "Enterprises have given attention to the execution of labor law policies. As a result, more than 90% of employees have signed labor contracts, and 85% are enrolled in social, health, and unemployment insurance. In comparison to rules, all firms give their employees wages that are equivalent to or more than the area minimum wage. In addition, enterprises also have a variety of other allowances and subsidies such as: Attendance money, gasoline, housing, children, shift meals, etc. During the year, the province approved seven new projects, including five domestic investment projects, with a total investment capital of VND558.4 billion; two foreign projects with a total investment capital of USD23.9 million; and adjusted 64 projects, including 23 DDI projects and 43 FDI projects, exceeding the target for 2023. At the same time, the province authorized the Project/adjustment of the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500 for 16 projects, as well as views on planning and adjusting the master plan and architectural designs for 15 of them. The province also agreed to the strategy and assigned the People’s Committee of Cam Khe district to study, survey, and make thorough planning for social housing and expert housing in Cam Khe industrial park; Issued 38 permits and amended six construction permits. Accepted 14 projects and put them to use... Enterprises have correctly followed processes for construction planning, agreements, and infrastructure connections; Evaluation of comprehensive planning, preliminary design, and construction drawings; Construction is carried out in line with the construction permit, project quality is ensured, and construction progress generally meets the investment registration progress. Environmental protection in the Industrial Park has improved significantly, with all projects receiving authorized environmental impact assessments or environmental permits prior to construction. To far, 200 projects have been given environmental licenses while operating. Many firms have invested in waste treatment facilities, which collect, store, and remove garbage in accordance with rules. The centralized wastewater treatment plants at Thuy Van Industrial Park (Viet Tri city) and Phu Ha Industrial Park (Phu Tho town) run smoothly, purifying water to satisfy criteria (column A) before it is released into the environment. Automatic wastewater monitoring device that continually sends data to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Cam Khe Industrial Park’s centralized wastewater treatment station has been accepted and is slated to begin operations in early 2024.

The province’s comprehensive, radical, and adaptable leadership and direction; With the efforts of the business community, in 2023, the income of firms in the industrial park will reach VND65,000 billion, an rise of 25% above 2022, achieving 108% of the year’s objective. The budget contribution is projected at VND1,500 billion. The export turnover is USD10,000 million, and the average monthly wage is expected to be VND7.1 million.

The world’s political and economic security environment is expected to remain challenging in 2024, with delayed recovery, having a significant impact on company production operations, particularly export firms. The Management Board of Industrial Parks has formulated strategies, proactively shared, collaborated, and created favorable conditions for enterprises to invest by promoting attained goals, directing resources, and reducing challenges and impediments. Successful business investment in industrial zones, with the objective of contributing around VND1,800 billion to the state budget and exporting approximately USD15,000 million.
