Tan Son district currently has 82.5% of the population being ethnic minorities. Preserve, conserve and promote traditional cultural identity values, resolutely eliminate outdated practices, build cultural families, cultural villages and hamlets; promote reputable people among ethnic minorities, maintain social security and order, resolutely fight against all plots and tricks that take advantage of ethnic, belief and religious issues to divide ethnic groups and cause instability in social order, security, and defense.

The Congress elected 27 delegates to attend the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Congress for the term 2024 - 2029. On this occasion, the District People’s Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the ethnic work for the period 2019 - 2024.
