The Hung King Temple Spirituality Marathon in 2024 wraps up
On the morning of April 7, at the festival’s major stage - the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site - the Organizing Committee of the Hung King Temple Spirituality Marathon in 2024 staged a closing ceremony and reward prizes to top competitors.
Leaders of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and sponsor representatives presented medals to exceptional athletes in the movement category, 42 kilometers distance.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee and sponsors gave medals to exceptional professional athletes across a distance of 21 kilometers.
Starting at 4:00 a.m. on April 7, participants officially began the competition with four events: 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km. Starting at the Festival Center yard, the 10km and 5km lengths include tracks belonging to the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site routes, while the 42km and 21km distances have tracks in the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Area and Viet Tri city.
The Organizing Committee gave rewards to athletes with excellent achievements in the movement and professional systems at the end of the race, including 12 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 10 third prizes, and extra prizes for the runners who participated.
Traffic police separated lanes to guarantee the safety of athletes competing in the competition.
With the theme “Returning to the origin” the Hung King Spirituality Marathon in 2024 not only allows competitors to tackle new routes, but it also fosters a spiritual connection and a sense of pride in Vietnam’s traditions and history. The tournament also aims to spread the spirit of physical exercise and sports among the people, particularly the running movement - a sport with numerous health benefits.
Athletes enjoyed the music show after the distance run.
