The Vietnamese conical hat initiative of Gia Thanh Secondary School receives an innovation prize
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) awarded the Vietnamese Conical Hat project of Gia Thanh Secondary School in Phu Ninh district an award for inventiveness in teaching techniques.

The conical hat is now being used in Math, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Literature, History, Technology, and Arts (Music and Fine Arts) classrooms at Gia Thanh Secondary School.Gia Thanh Secondary School is one of six schools worldwide to receive a USD1,000 grant this year to bring UNESCO’s living heritage into its curriculum. The competition got 146 submissions from 96 schools in 23 countries.
A STEM conical hat club was formed at the school. The use of STEM conical hats in the classroom will begin in the 2022-2023 school year at Gia Thanh. Simultaneously, the school expects that various organizations and departments will have resources to assist the people of Gia Thanh commune, or that the school will be able to become stronger than the existing school model.
