On April 8, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc — Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Binh Ngo Hung Kings' Commemoration - Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture-Tourism Week — chaired a meeting to review the progress of assigned tasks.
In attendance were Mr. Duong Hoang Huong — Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism — along with leaders from various provincial departments, sectors, and localities, and representatives from the Phu Tho Golf Association.

As of April 7, 2026, member agencies of the Organizing Committee have proactively advised the Provincial People’s Committee on issuing comprehensive directives to ensure the event proceeds according to plan. Regarding the Opening Ceremony, the Provincial People’s Committee has approved the stage design and program script.
To date, preparations for infrastructure, rehearsals, and related contents are essentially on track. The preliminary rehearsal is scheduled for 7:30 PM on April 14, 2026; the final dress rehearsal for 7:30 PM on April 15, 2026; and the Official Opening Ceremony will commence at 8:00 PM on April 17, 2026 (the 1st day of the third lunar month).
Regarding the Hung Vuong Cup Golf Tournament, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism is coordinating with the Phu Tho Golf Association to host approximately 600 athletes and guests. The opening ceremony and the invitational round are expected to take place at Van Lang Golf Course at 6:30 AM on April 11, 2026, with the awards ceremony at noon. Other competitive rounds will be held simultaneously at the Tam Dao, Dam Vac, and Thanh Lanh golf courses, followed by the closing ceremony at the Provincial Convention Center at 6:00 PM.
Preparations for the Ancestral Father Lac Long Quan Commemoration, the Ancestral Mother Au Co Incense Offering, and the Main Incense Offering Ceremony for the Hung Kings are being finalized. The Hung Temple Historic Site is currently refining scripts based on inter-departmental feedback for provincial approval. Additionally, the Provincial People’s Committee Office has established plans for the reception and accommodation of delegates attending the main ceremony.
Other cultural activities are being closely coordinated between the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Hung Temple Management Board, and 18 local commune clusters. Furthermore, efforts in communication, public security, urban embellishment, and environmental hygiene are being prioritized to ensure a successful and impressive festival season.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration — praised and highly commended the proactive involvement of the departments, sectors, agencies, and localities serving as members of the Organizing Committee in executing their assigned tasks.
To ensure thorough and meticulous preparations for the 2026 Commemoration, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc requested that the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to implement all work items with high quality and on schedule. He emphasized the need for close coordination with the Hung Temple Historic Site and other units to ensure that ceremonial activities are organized in a professional, solemn, and methodical manner, strictly adhering to traditional rites while ensuring absolute safety.
The Vice Chairman assigned the Provincial People’s Committee Office to continue reviewing and finalizing the guest list of Party and State leaders, as well as representatives from central ministries and sectors, to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture-Tourism Week 2026, along with the main Incense Offering Ceremony. This list is to be submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for final approval.
Furthermore, he stressed that all departments, sectors, units, communes, and wards must re-evaluate their assigned responsibilities. They are tasked with maintaining excellent logistics and reception for delegates, ensuring public security, order, and environmental hygiene, while proactively developing contingency plans for any unforeseen situations.
Regarding the Hung Vuong Cup Golf Tournament scheduled for April 11, 2026, members of the Tournament Organizing Committee were urged to remain proactive in directing preparations to ensure all conditions are met for a successful event.
Finally, the Vice Chairman called on news and press agencies to intensify their communication and promotional efforts to honor the culture of the Hung Kings' era and promote the image of the land and people of Phu Tho. He also provided specific guidance regarding various proposals and recommendations submitted by departments and localities during the meeting.
