The fish that resemble the parents are given special care in separate tanks. When the eggs hatch after 4 days, the fry is taken to the pond and served for sale on the occasion of the Land Genie and the Kitchen God.

The whole village has about 30 hectares of water surface, more than 300 farming households with a total half-year output of up to 40 tons.

At Mr. Nguyen Huy Luan’s fish farm, his family is rushing to clean up the last batch of nets to sell them to customers.

Mr. Luan said: This year, my family has raised about 8,000 to 10,000 fingerlings since April 2023. Up to now, we have harvested about 1 quintal of finished red carp, about 3 fingers in size, qualified to serve people. people on the occasion of the Land Genie and the Kitchen God.

According to Mr. Luan, this year the red carp market is less exciting, the selling price is only about 80,000 VND/kg, a sharp decrease compared to 100,000-150,000 VND last year.

Thuy Tram red carp is an ornamental fish, moderate in size, strong, bright red in color, pointed fins, beautiful shiny scales, and whiskers on both sides.

Fish are caught in nets for easy classification and consumption.

A large tank containing red carp is waiting to be sent to serve the Land Genie and the Kitchen God market. The fish are then collected and transported by traders to provinces such as Lang Son, Hanoi, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa.

To preserve red carp when distributed to the market, fish farmers pump more oxygen so the fish can maintain their breathing power.
