U23 Vietnam rained goals down on U23 Guam
baophutho.vnOn September 6, at 7:00 p.m., the U23 Vietnam football team began AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers versus U23 Guam at Viet Tri Stadium, to the delight of around 7,200 fans.
Coach Philippe Troussier fielded faces appropriate for the present playing style against U23 Guam. The appearances of Nguyen Thai Son - the best young player in V-League 2023 - and Vo Hoang Minh Khoa in the midfield, in particular, helped U23 swiftly control the encounter straight from the start. The high-level Pressing style of play put considerable pressure on U23 Guam’s goal, and U23 Vietnam’s efforts were rewarded with a 1-0 first-round goal by Le Van Do in the 33rd minute.
Coach Philippe Troussier’s students applied pressure from the start of the game.
U23 Guam battled hard to contain U23 Vietnam’s assault force.
Following the interval, coach Philippe Troussier’s pupils proceeded to dominate the game, scoring five goals in a row against U23 Guam. Nguyen Van Tung scored in the 55th minute, Ho Van Cuong in the 68th minute, Nguyen Thanh Nhan in the 79th minute, Hoang Van Toan in the 85th minute, and Bui Vy Hao in the 90th minute. During the injury time, U23 Vietnam continued to apply pressure, but no further goals were scored during the official match time.
Nguyen Thanh Nhan (No. 10) was named Best Player of the Match.
U23 Vietnam football team scored three points with a margin of +6 following a dominant 6-0 victory against U23 Guam, officially surpassing U23 Yemen to lead Group C after the first match.
