Toward the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration, the Hung Temple Festival, and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, Phu Tho Province has been vigorously boosting communication and promotional activities to bring the image of the Ancestral Land closer to domestic and international tourists.
A highlight of this series was the successful organization of the Famtrip and Presstrip program titled “Connecting Heritage, Experiencing Diversity,” held from March 19–20, 2026. This significant event gathered nearly 50 travel agencies, press and media outlets, and social media influencers—including reputable TikTokers and YouTubers nationwide—to amplify the province’s tourism appeal.
International buyers survey Phu Tho’s tourism offerings under the theme "The Source of the Vietnamese Nation."
During the two-day experiential journey, the survey delegation directly felt the natural beauty and historical depth through a diverse range of destinations. The highlight was the “Sacred Hung Temple – The Journey to the Roots” night tour at the Hung Temple Special National Historic Site. In the mystical atmosphere of the night, members practiced the Worship of Hung Kings from the temple gate through the Lower, Middle, and Upper Temples, concluding at the Gieng Temple for a profound spiritual experience. The journey continued to the Tay Thien Special National Scenic Site, where the delegation visited the Tay Thien Truc Lam Zen Monastery and took a modern cable car system to offer incense at the Upper, Co, Cau, and Thong Temples.
The delegation also immersed themselves in the lush greenery of the Tam Dao forest ecological area, admiring the Silver Waterfall and Giai Oan Stream. Community-based tourism was highly praised during their stop at Hung Lo Village. Here, members offered incense at a 300-year-old communal house and enjoyed Xoan singing, a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity recognized by UNESCO. Practical activities such as visiting ancient houses, rural markets, and making Banh Chung created a vivid and accessible picture of heritage tourism. The tour also covered the Long Coc Tea Hills and the Thanh Thuy Hot Spring Resort, leaving a lasting impression regarding service quality, infrastructure, and unique local culture.
Sharing the efforts in tourism information and promotion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa – Director of the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center – emphasized that the unit has proactively diversified communication activities both within and outside the province. Notably, the application of digital technology has created a significant breakthrough.
Specifically, the website dulichphutho.gov.vn has recorded over 11 million visits, while the Myphutho.vn tourism portal has reached over 3.3 million visits. On social media, the Phu Tho Tourism Fanpage has attracted over 31,000 followers, and related Facebook pages (including Phu Tho Tourism Information and Promotion Center, Phu Tho Xoan Singing, and Phu Tho Tourism Products) have garnered a combined 21,000 followers.
Tourism promotion via the “Dat To” (Ancestral Land) YouTube channel features 20 video clips with over 4,000 subscribers and 379,567 views. Furthermore, the Phu Tho Tourism TikTok channel has uploaded over 80 clips, attracting 9,355 followers, over 247,600 likes, and millions of views. Additionally, over 70 articles in central and local newspapers have promoted Phu Tho tourism on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration and the Hung Temple Festival.
Beyond cyberspace, Phu Tho actively participated in major events such as the 2026 Ban Flower Festival (Dien Bien), the 2026 Spring Fair, and the 22nd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival. Furthermore, the Center collaborated with the Provincial Tourism Association to welcome an international Famtrip delegation comprising 88 travel agencies from 8 countries and territories: South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
To prepare for the peak season, the Provincial People’s Committee held a press conference to provide official information on the festival. The province will also establish and operate a Press Center to serve as a hub for official information and support journalists in comprehensively covering the festival’s activities.
With meticulous and professional preparation, Phu Tho expects to create an impressive festival season, affirming its status as a friendly, identity-rich, and constantly innovating destination.
