After a half-day of urgent, serious, and democratic work conducted with a high sense of responsibility, the First Session of the 20th Phu Tho Provincial People’s Council (2026–2031) successfully completed its entire agenda on the afternoon of March 27. The session was presided over by Chairman Bui Duc Hinh and Vice Chairpersons Nguyen Trung Kien, Nguyen Thi Cam Phuong, and Nguyen Thi Hong Lam.

Following the election of key leadership positions for the People’s Council and People’s Committee, the Council proceeded to elect 516 People’s Jurors for the Provincial People’s Court and 17 regional courts for the 2026–2031 tenure. Specifically, this includes 27 jurors for the provincial level and 489 for regional levels, selected from 534 nominees.
The Standing Committee of the 20th Provincial People’s Council also announced the approval of Vice Chairs and members for the Council’s specialized boards. Additionally, 17 Deputy Groups were established, with specific assignments for Group Leaders and Deputy Leaders to ensure effective grassroots representation.

Voters' Petitions and 2026 Agenda Representing the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) provincial committee, Mr. Dinh Cong Thuc reported a summary of opinions and petitions from local voters gathered during the recent election. Following the report, deputies discussed and approved a Resolution on the schedule for the Council’s regular sessions throughout 2026.

In his closing remarks, Chairman Bui Duc Hinh urged the Standing Committee, the People’s Committee, and all deputies to urgently finalize dossiers for competent authorities to formalize the key leadership titles. He emphasized the need to quickly stabilize the organizational apparatus and issue operational regulations with clear assignments based on the principle of "clear people, clear tasks, and clear responsibilities."
The Chairman also called for strengthened coordination between the People’s Council, provincial departments, and local governments. He stressed the importance of improving management quality, enhancing the practicality of sessions, and intensifying supervision to ensure that the Council’s resolutions are swiftly and effectively translated into daily life.
