On March 13, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Head of the Organizing Committee for the Hung Kings' Commemoration and the Fatherland Culture - Tourism Week 2025, presided over a conference to implement the event’s organization plan.
The Hung Kings“Commemoration and the Fatherland Culture - Tourism Week 2025 will be organized by the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee from March 29 to April 7, 2025 (corresponding to the 1st to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month) at the Hung Kings” Temple Historical Site, Hung Vuong Square, and Viet Tri City. According to the plan, this year’s event will feature many unique activities that embody the spirit of the Hung Kings' era while inheriting and continuing the essence of contemporary society.
In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huy Ngoc emphasized that this year’s Hung Kings' Commemoration is expected to attract a large number of visitors, especially on the 8th and 9th days of the 3rd lunar month, as they coincide with Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, festival organization must prioritize safety, with well-prepared plans for traffic regulation and flow management to ensure a smooth experience for visitors and pilgrims traveling to the Land of Ancestors, as well as for those participating in cultural, artistic, and sports activities.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc instructed the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to coordinate with the Management Board of the Hung Kings' Temple Historical Site and Viet Tri City to promptly complete the visual communication system. This includes increasing the number of large billboards, banners, flags, and decorative elements along the roads and festival areas. At the same time, a Press Center will be established to facilitate the work of both central and local media agencies in reporting on the festival’s activities. Additionally, the Hung Kings' Temple Historical Site must quickly complete the renovation of the Nga Nam Den Gieng area and reorganize the stalls and vendors to ensure neatness, orderliness, and cultural appropriateness, following provincial directives. Relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities must deploy their forces from the 1st day of the 3rd lunar month to guide visitors and maintain security and order, ensuring the best experience for festival-goers.
Phu Tho Radio and Television Station (PT&TH Phu Tho) will take the lead in broadcasting the live art performance program for the Opening Ceremony of the Land of Ancestors Culture - Tourism Week 2025, themed “Echoes of the Ancestral Land”, along with the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month. Additionally, PT&TH Phu Tho will advise the Provincial People’s Committee to issue an official request to other provinces and cities, urging their local television stations to rebroadcast the opening ceremony and the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony. This initiative aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Land of Ancestors, create a lively and festive atmosphere, and leave a lasting impression on visitors attending the event in Phu Tho.
