The Through-Road Project of former Mai Chau Town carries a total investment of 260 billion VND, with allocated capital totaling over 250.3 billion VND.

To date, site clearance work has been executed across 2.3 out of 2.85 km, reaching 80% of the entire route’s length. However, project progress encounters various difficulties, primarily related to incomplete site clearance and unfinished resettlement area construction serving the project in Mai Chau Commune; while several road sections remain unable to commence construction due to encumbrances involving telecommunication poles alongside 0.4kV and 35kV power lines.

Regarding the Mai Chau Urban Internal Road Project, in 2026, the project was allocated 28 billion VND. To date, approximately 4.3 billion VND has been disbursed, equivalent to 16% of the annual capital plan.

The implementation process faces site clearance bottlenecks at the route’s starting section. Issues regarding land origin, compensation plans, and resettlement require continued review and clarification to establish a basis for resolution and accelerate execution progress.

Delivering concluding remarks at the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Quach Tat Liem emphasized that the Through-Road Project of former Mai Chau Town holds significant importance in perfecting transport infrastructure and driving socio-economic development across the Mai Chau area, particularly in Mai Chau and Mai Ha communes.

To overcome schedule delays, he requested the Mai Chau Commune People’s Committee to coordinate closely with relevant departments, branches, and units to focus on resolving site clearance difficulties; step up propaganda and mobilization so residents understand and comply with legal regulations, fostering consensus to hand over sites to construction contractors at an early date.

For land plots with discrepancies in records, locations, or areas, the commune must urgently coordinate with specialized agencies to inspect and accurately measure field realities; executing adjustments and updating measurement maps and cadastral dossiers as a basis for formulating compensation plans in accordance with regulations.

In particular, the Vice Chairman directed the urgent construction of the resettlement area alongside infrastructure for the new cemetery site, ensuring conditions for grave relocations, step-by-step clearing site bottlenecks, and creating favorable conditions to deploy construction and accelerate project completion.
