Kick-off of the Phu Tho Province Swimming and Track & Field Tournament for School Students
On August 16, at the Provincial Sports Complex, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, organized the opening ceremony of the Phu Tho Province Swimming and Track & Field Tournament for school students in 2024.
This year’s tournament runs from August 16 to 18, featuring 408 athletes from 13 districts, towns, cities, and 24 high schools across the province. The athletes will compete in 28 track and field events and 31 swimming events across three age groups: elementary school, middle school, and high school, to vie for 59 sets of medals.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes began competing in swimming events. In the afternoon, some of the initial track and field events will also take place.
