Lang Suong Temple, located around 50 kilometers from Viet Tri city, has a rich brown tile roof that has stood the test of time. With its abundance of architectural worth and historical significance, Lang Suong Temple inspires and delights any tourist who has the opportunity to see and experience it, particularly the elderly. The local folklore talks about the Saint’s birth. According to documents in the Ngoc genea book created in 1011, Mr. Nguyen Cao Hanh and Ms. Thai Vy (née Dinh Thi Den) resided in Lang Suong cave and did many good actions, but they were old and had no child. A golden dragon flew down into the well one day, sucking up water, spitting up pearls, and releasing pearls. Mrs. Den went to the well to fetch water and sat on the rock to wash as usual, when her skin became scented. She was pregnant for 14 months after that and gave birth to a gorgeous and handsome son named Nguyen Tuan, who is Saint Tan Vien Son and afterwards had many virtues to the people and the country.

Every year on the 25th of the 10th lunar month, Lang Suong Temple commemorates Holy Mother’s death.

Lang Suong Temple, as a temple associated with the era when the Hung Kings built and defended the country, is not only an ancient temple with preserved and preserved antiques such as Ngoc Triet, Ngoc Pha, but also relics of Kneeling Stone, Thien Thanh well, Temple of the Two Ladies, etc., have become the sacred highlight of Lang Suong Temple. The Kneeling Stone, commonly known as the green stone, still preserves the picture of Mother Dinh Thi Den kneeling while she was in pain after giving birth to Thanh Tan Vien Son after 14 months of pregnancy. Thien Thanh Well, in particular, is just 3 meters deep, yet whether rainy or dry season, the well remains clean and full of water, even when the surrounding wells are dry. That mystery and sanctity piques the interest and attracts travelers from all over the world. In addition, the artifacts have been conserved and are key attractions that draw people to learn about history. This is also the only temple in the country that currently worships Tan Vien Son Thanh and his entire family.

Currently, Temple Lang Suong has been extensively restored; the complex is large but keeps its original status as well as historic elements, essentially addressing the people’s growing spiritual demands. Every year on January 15 (Saint Tan Vien’s birthday) and October 25 (Saint Mother’s return to heaven), Lang Suong Temple has two major festivities. Mr. Ha Ngoc Vien, Chairman of the Dong Trung Commune People’s Committee, stated, “”The festival is held annually to educate descendants on historical traditions, pay tribute to saints' merits, and preserve and promote national cultural identity in the spirit of Resolution of the Vth Central Committee, term VIII." This is also an essential stop on the trip back to the country’s origins. Tourists from all over the world come to the festival to not only pray for money, success, and luck, but also to learn more about the country’s history."

This is also a place to teach today’s youth about the ideals of history and the sacrifices of saints so that we might live peacefully, prosperously, and happily.
