As part of the series of activities celebrating the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of At Ty 2025, from April 2 to April 7 (i.e., the 5th to 10th of the 3rd lunar month), Phu Bung Hill—Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site will host many traditional folk games. These activities, which also include the display, promotion, and introduction of local products and specialties, are set to attract a large number of people and tourists.
Ethnic minorities from Yen Lap District enjoy a bamboo dance at the festival.
The folk games, which are an essential part of the traditional festival culture of the ethnic groups in the Ancestral Land, are organized to serve both the entertainment and recreational needs of locals and visitors. These games include throwing con, swinging, walking on stilts, jumping on bamboo poles, and blindfolded pot smashing. Each game has its unique characteristics, promoting physical strength, agility, and dexterity among the players.
Tourists participate in folk games at the Cultural Camp—Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site.
Through these activities, the festival fosters a spirit of community solidarity and respect for discipline, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for both locals and tourists to learn about the culture and experience the spiritual life, customs, and practices of various localities and ethnic groups. In doing so, the event contributes to the promotion and dissemination of the unique traditional values of the homeland.
